After investigating methods to prevent deterioration of the water supply pipes 20 years after construction, we installed The Bio Water following a year-long field test. The type of water supply pipe in this building is "internally coated lined steel pipe." This type of pipe is protected by a vinyl coating on the inside, but the ends of the pipes where they connect are exposed, leading to the progression of red rust from that area. Additionally, water can enter between the vinyl coating and the exposed metal, causing corrosion of the iron without notice, which eventually leads to leaks. We will introduce what happened to the two types of rust—"rust at the joint connection" and "rust that forms between the vinyl coating and the exposed metal"—five years after the installation of The Bio Water.
